Dettol conducts `Nurses Meet` in New Delhi
Reckitt Benckiser flags of another leg of `Dettol Surakshit Parivar` Program under its Hospital Program

Dettol, one of India 's most trusted brands, is conducting 'Nurses Meet' as part of its nationwide program Dettol Surakshit Parivar, which is in partnership with Indian Medical Association (IMA) . The first such Nurses Meet was conducted in New Delhi, in Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital . The meet saw an impressive turnout of over 84 nurses and was presided by Mrs. A. Sharma, Principal, School of Nursing, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital . Through these Nurses Meets Dettol will be reaching out to nurses and hospitals and conducting hygiene awareness programs. Nurses will be given update on different illness causing bacteria/virus and also modern methods of ensuring a germ free environment. Additionally, under the Dettol Surakshit Parivar program, Dettol is also working with Hospitals to disseminate relevant information and public health messages on first aid methods, immunization and hygiene to the general public.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Chander Mohan Sethi, Chairman and Managing Director Reckitt Benckiser India said, "The Nurses Meet program is a part of ` Dettol Surakshit Parivar', which emphasizes Dettol`s commitments towards providing superior germ protection to everyone. We are certain that this program will further contribute in inculcating good hygiene values and practices. "

 

Mrs. A. Sharma, Principal, School of Nursing, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital expressed that nurses welcome these initiatives from the makers of Dettol. We are sure that such drives shall inculcate a sense of personal hygiene which is very important in the hospital environment and in the community at large. We will continue to support similar initiatives towards larger public interest ".

 

The Dettol Surakshit Parivar program was launched in March 2006 program. It has three key legs - New Mother Program, School Handwash Program and Hospital/Nurses Program . All the activities under Dettol Surakshit Parivar are aimed to advocate good hygiene practices in the family environ to ensure protection against illness causing germs, especially for the more vulnerable section of the population, i.e. infants and children.
